One of our trained, bonded, and insured team members visit your home to care for your cat while you travel, work, or spend time away. Your cat stays comfortable in their familiar environment while receiving reliable daily care from an experienced local team.

Each visit follows your cat’s normal routine so their day stays as consistent as possible while you’re away. During each visit, your sitter will:

  • Provide fresh food and water on your cat’s usual feeding schedule
  • Scoop and clean the litter box
  • Spend time with your cat through play, petting, or quiet companionship
  • Brush your cat if they enjoy grooming
  • Administer medications if needed
  • Bring in mail and packages
  • Water indoor plants
  • Rotate lights or adjust blinds for home security

After every visit, you receive a written update and photos through the Time To Pet app, so you can see how your cat is doing while you’re away.

When is In-Home Cat Sitting the Best Choice?

Most cats are happiest staying in their own environment, away from the unfamiliar smells, sounds, and routines of a boarding facility.

  • In-home cat sitting works well for cats in most situations, but it’s especially valuable if your cat:
  • Gets stressed away from home or on car rides
  • Lives in a multi-cat household (no per-cat fee)
  • Is shy, timid, or hides from strangers
  • Needs daily medication on a consistent schedule
  • Is a senior cat who needs gentle, attentive care
  • Has never been boarded before and you’d prefer they stay in familiar surroundings
  • We also care for multi-pet households. If you have cats along with dogs, birds, fish, reptiles, or small animals, we handle all of them during the same visit.

Cat Sitting Pricing

Visits start at $32 for a 30-minute visit.

We also offer:

Our Almost Overnight option includes a 2–3 hour visit in the evening followed by a one hour morning visit for cats that benefit from longer companionship.

What you should know about pricing:

  • We charge by time, not per pet — the price is the same whether you have one cat or five. We may require a longer visit for multiple cats
  • Medication administration is included at no extra cost
  • A $10 fee applies for last-minute requests made within 48 hours
  • A $15 fee applies on holidays
  • A mileage fee may apply depending on your location
  • We require a minimum of one visit per day — we do not offer every-other-day visits, because cats need consistent daily care

Testimonials

“When I travel my 2 cats looks so forward to the visits from the very caring cat sitters that come from JAC. The communication is always fantastic, with notes and photos sent to me daily!. My house is always in perfect order when I come home, litter cleaned and house lightly vacuumed to ensure there isn’t litter and kitty fur balls everywhere. I am completely confident that my boys are well taken cared of when I am away.”

– Lynn N.

“I used Just Around the Corner recently when I went away for the weekend and I’m so glad I did! I’ve never used a pet-sitting service before and was anxious about having anybody besides my family watching my cat. I heard great reviews about JAC and once I met Morgin & Allison, I felt comfortable leaving my cat, Luna, in their care. Luna warmed up to them immediately and they sent me detailed updates with lots of pictures while I was away. It was a great experience and I’ll definitely be using JAC in the future!”

Frequently Asked Cat Sitting Questions

How often should a cat sitter visit?

For your cat’s safety and comfort Just Around the Corner provides at least one visit per day. You can also schedule two or more visits per day if your cat is used to eating on that schedule or needs more companionship.

Do you charge per cat?

Just Around the Corner’s pricing is for the amount of time we spend, not the number of pets.

Can you give medication to cats?

Our trained team members can administer pills, liquid medication, and topical medications if your cat takes their medication easily. We also have a few pet sitters trained in injectable medication and inhalers.

If your cat needs 24-hour medical monitoring, is difficult to medicate, or requires veterinary supervision, a veterinary boarding facility may be the better option. We administer routine medications, but we are not a substitute for veterinary care.

Do cats prefer staying at home?

Most cats are more comfortable maintaining their own environment and routine.

Can you care for my cat if they are shy and afraid of strangers?

Many cats disappear as soon as they see someone new. We will confirm your cat is safe and eating at every visit. We’ll also send updates via the Time to Pet app so you know how they’re doing. Many of our regular cat clients start out hiding for a few visits, but warm up to their cat sitter over time.

Can you spend the night with my cat?

Our cat sitting visits are scheduled as drop-in visits, not overnight stays. For cats needing more companionship we do offer an Almost Overnight for cats needing longer visits – 2-3 hours in the evening followed by 1 hour in the morning.
