Each adventure walk is a 90-minute hike where your dog explores local trails one-on-one with an experienced walker. Unlike standard neighborhood dog walks, adventure walks take your dog to new areas including onto Plymouth’s trails for the exercise, mental stimulation, and exploration that all dogs need.

What’s Included in an Adventure Walk
Your dog’s walker picks them up from your home, drives to a local trail or different neighborhood, and spends the session walking, hiking, and exploring together. After the walk, your dog is returned home.
Each adventure walk includes:
- 90 minutes from pick-up to drop-off
- Door-to-door service (we pick up and return your dog)
- One-on-one time with a dedicated walker. Your dog is the only dog on the walk
- Trail selection based on your dog’s energy level and temperament – anything from high-powered walks to a stroll-and-sniff
- Exploration of Plymouth-area trails including wooded paths, pond loops, beaches when available and conservation areas
- Photos and updates sent through the Time To Pet app after every walk
- Walks led by experienced, trained team members (not gig workers)
Once we’ve spent time getting to know your dog and their behavior on trail, you may have the option for your dog to join an adventure walk with a dog from another household
Adventure Walk Pricing
- Adventure Walk (one dog): $65 per walk
- Second dog from same household: +$35 additional
A mileage fee may apply depending on your location relative to the trail. We’ll discuss any additional fees during your consultation so there are no surprises.
Adventure walks are scheduled during the cooler parts of the day to keep your dog comfortable and safe:
- Morning window: 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM
- Afternoon window: 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Adventure walks are available Monday through Friday, with some weekend availability. Once your dog is approved for the program, you can request walks directly through the Time To Pet app.
Additional fees may apply, including:
- A mileage fee may apply depending on your location
- Last Minute Request fee ($10 per visit requested within 48 hours)
- Holiday fee ($15 per visit)
- After-hours fees for early morning and late-night visits

Who Adventure Walks Are For
Adventure walks are designed for dogs who need more than a standard 30-minute neighborhood walk. This service is a good fit if your dog:
- Has high energy that isn’t met by regular walks around the block

- Loves exploring new environments, sniffing, and moving at their own pace
- Is physically healthy and able to handle 60+ minutes of trail walking
- Benefits from variety (different trails, terrain, and scenery each session)

We assess every dog’s temperament and fitness level before they begin the program. This isn’t a service you sign up for and start the next day. We want to make sure your dog will be safe and happy on trail before their first outing.
Who Adventure Walks Are NOT For
Adventure walks aren’t the right fit for every dog. This service may not work if your dog:
- Has mobility issues, joint problems, or is a senior dog with limited stamina
- Is reactive or aggressive toward other dogs, wildlife, or strangers on trail
- Is not leash-trained or reliable on leash in unstructured environments
- Is very small and unable to handle longer-distance hiking
If your dog needs a shorter, lower-intensity visit, our standard dog walking service offers 30, 45, and 60-minute on-leash neighborhood walks. If your dog has specific behavioral or medical needs, our customized pet care options may be a better fit.

A standard dog walk is a leashed walk around your neighborhood. These are ideal for a midday potty break and light exercise. Adventure walks are a completely different experience.
Standard dog walk: 30–60 minutes, on-leash, your neighborhood, routine route, light to moderate exercise.
Adventure walk: 90 minutes, trail-based, various locations, high physical exercise and mental stimulation from new environments, sights, and smells.
Think of it this way: a standard walk is nice stroll around the neighborhood while an adventure walk is a field trip.
Dogs who get regular adventure walks tend to be calmer at home, less destructive, less anxious, and more physically fit. The combination of sustained physical exercise and the mental stimulation of exploring new environments addresses both the body and the brain.
